Members stepped up admirably last year to help us run what was our most ambitious project yet and we are looking for more of the same this year!
Taking place in the Abbey Gardens, this flagship event was a great success; we engaged with school children who have gone on to do more nature related activities in school and we recorded a surprising amount of wildlife in an urban setting. (Actually wildlife often fares better in an urban setting than out in the countryside, because there is a greater diversity of habitats and more nooks and crannies in which wildlife can shelter and find food than in farming landscapes).
Please register here if you are able to help at the BioBlitz such as acting as runners for the walks and talks we are planning.
