Trees: a guided walk with David Appleton

A new report from the Tree Council calls for a “robust and effective system” of protections to secure the future of some of England’s most important trees, following the felling of a 500-year-old oak in Enfield in April, and the destruction of the iconic Sycamore Gap tree last year. David will discuss this and related issues as part of a short walk to look at the very rare and elderly female black poplar in the Abbey Gardens.
