Spider diversity of the water meadows (guided walk)
May 18 @ 14:30 – 15:30
Join entomologist and spider specialist Alan Thornhill for a walk in the water meadows with spiders in mind. Although the sight, or even thought, of spiders makes many people distinctly uncomfortable we
should remember that British spiders are largely harmless and do lots of good for people. Spiders are so numerous that they are a vital part of the ecosystems on which we all depend.
According the the British Arachnological Society, over 800 can be found in a square metre of grassland so it could be a short walk!
Meet 2.25pm at the BioBlitz Hub in the Abbey Gardens (near the Lark footbridge and play area) to join this walk
