Guided Walk: 100 Plants for 2026 for beginners with Anna Saltmarsh

May 16 @ 11:00 12:00

Join Anna Saltmarsh on a beginners’ walk for budding botanists looking to learn how to identify some of the common plants and wild flowers that grow along the Lark path and in the nearby water meadows. The walk will support those taking part in the ‘100 plants for 2026’ challenge run by the BSBI (Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland) but all are welcome. Are you able to identify 100 wild plants growing close to your home? If that sounds like a challenge then this is your chance to take it on and get some help in making a start on your list.

Anna is a Bury resident who has worked for the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and volunteers with the Suffolk Wildlife Trust and the Breckland Flora Group.

FREE. No booking required. Meet at the Bury Water Meadows Group festival in the Abbey Gardens
